Join us on Holocaust Remembrance Day, Thursday, May 2nd
When we premiere the documentary “TRY TO REMEMBER-NEVER FORGET” the story, words and wisdom of Chula Vista Holocaust Survivor Ruth Sax.
Rush dedicated herself to telling her story throughout the South Bay and reminding everyone that ‘G-d created such a beautiful world, only some people make it so miserable.’ She taught students that HATE is not the answer, surround yourself with happy positive people and always have hope.
Created and directed by Olena Zernychenko, the documentary takes you from Ruth’s happy childhood into the darkest days of three concentration camps, including Auschwitz and facing Dr. Mengele six times.
Author and daughter, Sandra Scheller, will host a discussion and book signing after the film.
Although this is a free event, your donations for continued support of SBHS is welcome.
