Richard will be speaking about the 1775 Native Revolt Against The Mission Of San Diego and The Tipai Villages Of The South Bay.

For centuries the mission period has been romanticized. Richard Carrico will talk about

the shaping of past opinions based on erroneous information. His research exposes new

information, to give us a proper perspective of Spain’s legacy, of destruction of native peoples.

A certain social consciousness asks, does it matter how we treat people? If your answer is yes,

then you cannot ignore the plight of indigenous people by the Spanish.
