On January 12, our 2020 exhibit features Holocaust survivors that settled in the South Bay.  We are proud to have the very first Holocaust exhibit in San Diego County. This will run from January 2020 -August 2022.

This exhibit will have monthly activities which feature speakers about the Holocaust, documentaries, featured books and activities.  Schools are invited to schedule with museum curator, Sandra Scheller, personal tours  of the exhibit by contacting her at sscheller@cox.net.

Sandra’s mother, Ruth Sax a Holocaust survivor from the South Bay, gave her time in the community by teaching the Holocaust throughout the schools and colleges. She was honored as Women of the Year in San Diego, Inducted into the  San Diego Women’s Hall of Fame, honored as a Woman of Valor in San Diego County and received her honorary degree from Southwestern College as a humanitarian and educator.  Ruth dreamed of having a Holocaust museum in the South Bay and now Ruth’s dream is about to be fulfilled. The lessons learned in this exhibit are heartfelt and each story is very unique and emotional.

Meet with exhibit curator/Holocaust educator, Sandra Scheller for a personal tour for your school, organization or group. These tours are free of charge. Contact Sandy at 619-422-3429 or email sscheller@cox.net.
