Chula Vista South Library, 389 Orange Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91911

Chula Vista Fire Department Commemorated their Centennial on May 2, 2021. This exhibit provides a trip through the 100 year history of Chula Vista Fire Department with interviews, photos. artifacts and the “Old Goose”.

The 1923 “Old Goose” fire truck is the star of the exhibit. Our fire equipment has certainly changed in the last 100 years, but the hearts and professionalism of our firefighters has not.

The exhibit has many stories to tell and interesting bits of the past.  If you can’t make it down to the South Chula Vista Library on 4th and Orange, then spend a few minutes with Chief Harry Muns on a voyage to the past on YouTube..
